The Riverside Church

First installation of SBWW

In Separated: Border Wall Witness, participants walked along 48 custom-painted panels through marshlands, mountains, national parks, rivers and deserts, all while passing erratic blips of wall. The long mural catalogs the intermittent government barriers and the harsh natural obstacles that make the journey life-threatening.

The large panels are custom fit to the scaffolding that surrounded The Riverside Church. In total, the experience spanned two continuous city blocks and utilized 1,536 square feet of canvas.
